Clients are advised to wait the prescribed time before contacting the Department of Immigration and Citizenship about the application.
- What will some clients see when they apply online for their ETA?
Some clients applying via the internet for their ETA, may receive a message similar to the following:

This system performs checks required by the Australian Government. In a small number of cases, we cannot immediately issue an ETA. Your application is one of these cases. It has been referred to the Australian Immigration authorities for further assessment.
Please make an enquiry in X hours to check whether your application has been successful. To make an enquiry, click on the Check your ETA button on our website. You will need your Internet ETA Reference Number which is XXXXXX.
Your credit card payment for A$20 has been received. It will appear on your credit card statement against the business name IVISA SERVICES, NEUTRAL BAY. If your application is not approved, this fee is not refundable.
Kind Regards,
Internet ETAS Support.
